The vending machine near the foyer is a bit of a rickety thing, but it works as good as any! ICly, characters will be rewarded for bonding with one another; these rewards come in the form of coins left in their room, somewhere that they'll be easily found. After that, it's just a matter of going over to the machine, sticking coins in and letting prizes fall out. Simple!
When do we get coins? ↴
Coins are awarded for every 20-comment thread (10 comments per person) submitted here. Any threads between two player characters that do not take place during investigations, trials and motive announcements are eligible for a coin. Threads with mod NPCs such as the Conductor are eligible for coins as well, but the one caveat to this is that private conversations and letters do not count – the thread must take place in public.
What's in it for me? ↴
Glad you asked! We asked all of you to put five regains down on your app; this is where you have the chance to get them back. Of course, since nothing can ever be easy for anyone, RNG gets to decide how quickly that happens...
Of course, there's also a chance that the regain you get back won't necessarily be yours. That's also a distinct possibility that we won't deny. Good thing you're on such good terms with everyone here, right?
The percentages shake down something like this: You have a 10% chance of getting a regain – either yours or someone else's, every time you roll. There's an 80% chance you'll get something else. As for the remaining 10%...well. You'll have to roll and see what that remaining percentage might contain, won't you?

What's this about renewable items? ↴
One out of your five items can be renewable – that is, they have the potential to fall out of the machine more than one time. They can be consumable things like food, candy, liquor or cigarettes; they can also be things like yarn, socks, whatever you like!
I got an item that isn't mine - what do I do with it? ↴
Whatever your character would do with it! Give it back, eat it, set it on fire, whatever you want. You might want to work it out with whomever it belongs to, but...really, it's your choice.
Can we stack coins to help our odds? ↴
Unfortunately, no. I mean, if you have a surplus of them and you want to shove them in the machine all willy-nilly then no one's going to stop you, but it's not going to increase your chances of getting a regain. Maybe you'll be rewarded for jamming in twenty at once, who knows. ...Or maybe you'll just screw up the machine. That's also a possibility. It's old, be gentle.
Do our coins expire? ↴
You can redeem your coins whenever you want; in other words, the threads you submit don't have to all be from the current week!
Can we use our coins to opt out of death rolls? ↴
That, my friends, would be bribery, and it's highly frowned upon by the Conductor. If you can't be present for a given week if you've been selected to die, you can ask the mods to reschedule, but there are no true opt-outs or safety nets of that sort.
CONGRATULATIONS
1 - 065. Absolute Tuning Fork
A huge tuning fork that hides the power to destroy the entire world with resonance, if used by someone who has mastered the art of tuning. It’s also good for drying out laundry.
2 - 058. Shwip-On Bracelets
Toys that normally stick straight out like a ruler, but wrap around your arm with a ‘shwip!’ when you hit your arm with them.
3 - 025. Crystal Skull
A skull made out of a single piece of crystal. It is wrapped in mystery, as it is thought that older civilizations did not have the tools to make such a thing.
4 - Potion
Some sort of potion in a cute bottle. It smells disgusting, don't drink it.
5 - 005. Plugsuit
A gift from Asuka. A skintight plugsuit. God knows how you're supposed to wear the thing.
6 - 066. Sacred Sandstorm Horn
A horn from a mysterious living creature. It’s been cut off partway through. Whoever possesses this horn will be able to sense the wind.
7 - 017. Endless Dandelion
A toy dandelion. It’s fun to blo~w the seeds away. The flying seeds have a thin thread still connecting them, so you can wind them back up and have as much fun as you want.
8 - 040. Pagoda of Bishamonten
A gift from Byakuren. A small jeweled pagoda. It used to shoot lasers! Unfortunately, it has no power here, but it's still very pretty.
9 - 010. Love Affair Ring
A pinky ring that will bring you affection if you wear it on your right hand, bring you romance if you wear it on your left hand, and bring ruin upon you if you wear it on both.
10 - 004. Rainbow Biscuits
Easily-preservable hardtack used in emergency rations. One can enjoy seven different flavors.
11 - 076. Toy Camera
A camera made with cheap materials. Thanks to that low quality, its photos are blurry and have strange colors in them, which actually made it more popular.
